Toilet installation in London
Replacing a toilet is usually a morning’s work. Moving one, fitting a wall-hung pan on a frame, or putting a WC where there has never been a soil connection is a different job with different questions — and it is worth asking them before the suite is bought rather than after it arrives.

Worth knowing first
Some of this may save you a callout entirely. We would rather tell you than not.
Measure before you buy the suite
The distance from the wall to the centre of the waste, and the height and width of the cistern, decide whether a given toilet fits your existing pipework. Photograph the current one from the side and send it with the model you are considering, and we can tell you before you order.
Wall-hung means a frame and a wall that can take it
The pan hangs off a steel frame carrying the weight, not off the plasterboard. It looks better and cleans more easily, and it takes up more space behind than people expect. In a small cloakroom that is the deciding factor.
Concealed cisterns still need access
Everything behind the panel will need reaching one day — the flush valve and the inlet valve are the parts that fail. An access panel is not optional, and tiling over the whole thing is a decision that gets undone expensively.
A rocking toilet will leak eventually
Movement works the waste seal loose over months, and by the time it shows on the ceiling below it has usually been going a while. If yours moves when you sit down, it is worth dealing with now.
Common questions
Can you fit a toilet I have already bought?
Yes, and most people do. Send us the model beforehand so we can check the waste position and whether any adaptors are needed.
How long does a straight swap take?
A like-for-like replacement is usually a morning. Anything involving moving the waste, a concealed cistern or a wall-hung frame is longer and gets quoted after a look.
Can you move the toilet across the room?
Sometimes. It depends on getting a fall on the waste run to the soil stack. Where that is not possible the alternative is a macerator, which we will explain honestly rather than default to.
Do you take the old one away?
Yes, that is included. Old ceramics go for recycling rather than into a skip where we can.
