Customer reviews

  • New toilet fitted — pain-free experience

“Max was extremely kind and flexible — the first toilet was too big so he came back an hour later with a smaller one and stayed into the evening to fit it. Also heat-dried the floor and resealed a small leak. Highly recommended!”

  • Checkatrade

    Helped when others weren't interested!

“Very happy with the response, service and work carried out at very short notice by this team — where no one else on Checkatrade could be bothered!”

  • Fast, transparent emergency drainage repair

“Amir Qome and Mohsen arrived within 20 minutes. They texted updates, sent photos/videos of every important step, put in temporary safety measures and completed a fragile, complex job in 4.5 hours — at a lower price than previous invoices. I’ll only use this company from now on.”

  • Brilliant boiler service from start to finish

“Arrived on time, very respectful and professional, worked quickly, and left everything clean and tidy after fixing the boiler. Really appreciated how efficient and hassle-free the whole job was. Would definitely recommend.”

“Initially changed our pump for our water pressure (advised from a previous plumber), but that didn't solve our problem. Diako at Ninja Plumbers sorted out the issue the next week for a very reasonable price! Our water pressure now works perfectly!”

What a power flush fixes

Common heating problems a flush puts right

If your system is showing any of these, a power flush is usually the answer — though we'll always confirm that with an assessment first.

  • Cold radiators

Warm at the top, stone cold at the bottom

  • Noisy boiler

    Banging, gurgling or kettling sounds

  • Slow to heat up

Rooms taking far longer to warm than they should

  • Weak circulation

Pump working harder than it needs to

  • Rising energy bills

Sludge makes your boiler burn more for less heat

  • Dirty bleed water

Black or rust-coloured water when you bleed a radiator

Is it sludge?

The signs your heating is trying to tell you

Cold patches near the bottom of a radiator, a boiler that bangs or gurgles, rooms that take forever to warm up, or black water when you bleed a radiator — these are the classic signs of magnetite sludge building up in the pipework. Left alone, it restricts flow, forces the boiler to work harder than it should, and is one of the most common causes of early boiler failure.

  • No mess left behind

We protect floors and furniture throughout, and the only trace we leave is a cleaner, quieter heating system.

  • Chemicals handled safely

Flushing chemicals are strong — our engineers dose, circulate and dispose of them properly, so nothing is left to chance.

  • Proof before we leave

We show you before-and-after water samples and check every radiator heats evenly top to bottom before signing off.

How it works

No mystery, no surprise invoice

  1. Assess & isolate

We check your system first, radiator by radiator, to confirm a flush is actually the right fix, then isolate the heating and connect our flushing pump.

  2. Flush & clean

A specialist cleaning solution is circulated at high flow through every radiator individually, breaking down years of sludge, rust and limescale, then rinsed with clean water until it runs clear.

  3. Refill, protect & balance

The system is refilled and dosed with a corrosion inhibitor, then every radiator is balanced and heat-tested so the whole house warms evenly again.

Questions

How do I know if I need a power flush?

The main signs are radiators that are cold at the bottom but warm at the top, a boiler that bangs, gurgles or kettles, rooms that take longer than usual to heat, and black or rusty water when you bleed a radiator. If you're seeing one or more of these, it's worth having an engineer take a look before you commit to a flush.

How long does a power flush take?

Most homes are done in a single visit, typically four to eight hours depending on the number of radiators and how much sludge has built up. Larger properties or heavily contaminated systems can take longer, and we'll always tell you before we start.

Will a power flush damage my old pipework?

It can, if the system is already weak — which is exactly why we assess before we flush. Very old pipework, narrow-bore pipes or radiators with existing pinhole leaks aren't always suitable, and we'll flag that honestly rather than push ahead regardless.

Do I need a power flush before a new boiler?

Most boiler manufacturers expect a clean system before a new boiler is fitted, and many warranties depend on it. If your existing system has years of sludge in it, flushing beforehand protects your new boiler from day one.

How often should a central heating system be flushed?

As a rough guide, every five years or so on a well-maintained system with a working magnetic filter and correct inhibitor levels. Older systems, or ones without a filter, tend to need it sooner.

What's the difference between a power flush and a chemical flush?

A power flush uses a pump to circulate water and cleaning chemicals through the whole system at high velocity — it's the more thorough option. A chemical flush treats one or two problem radiators without the pump, which can be enough for a smaller, localised issue.

Ready to sort your heating out?

Tell us what your radiators and boiler are doing and we'll book an engineer to take a look, confirm whether a power flush is the right fix, and give you a clear, fixed quote before anything starts.
